• How to Take this Component Inside Another FLA File?
  
  
  1. Open KIZoomSlideshow.fla file
  2. Open the library panel using F9 or Ctrl+L shortcut or from the Window menu
  3. Right click Assets folder and choose copy from the context menu
  4. Open your destination .fla file and open the library panel using the step 2
  5. Right click in the library panel and choose paste from the context menu
  6. Double click the Assets folder to expand it.
  7. Locate the KIZoomSlideshow movieclip and drag it to the stage and set its x and y values to 0.
  8. Now copy the com, and images folder as well as slides.xml file inside the same folder where your destination .fla file is save or more importantly where your destination .fla file publishes the .swf file.
  9. Test and it should work.

• XML Configuration Parameters:

  There are few configuration parameters which you can set throught the xml to alter the behaviour of the slideshow / banner rotator.

  1. effects / slideEffects:

     In this section of the slides.xml file you specify which effects the slideshow can use. There are total three effects whic are: FADE-IN, SCALE-UP and SCALE-DOWN. For example if you just want the slideshow to have the SCALE-UP and SCALE-DOWN effects then you will delete the <effect>FADE-IN</effect> node.
     
     

  2. slidesDuration:

     This attirbute of the Slideshow xml node is a global cofiguration parameter. If you set the value of this attribute then the individual duration parameter values will be ignored. This attribute / parameter specifies that how long an image / slide will be display before a new one is loaded and displayed. The value is in seconds, so 5 means 5 seconds. Note: the value of this parameter / attribute also include the transition time. The duration of all transitions is 2 seconds. So keep this thing in mind when setting the value of slidesDuration attribute. If you want to set and use individual slide duration parameter then leave the value of slidesDuration blank.
     
     

  3. slidesEffect:

     This attirbute of the Slideshow xml node is a global cofiguration parameter. If you set the value of this attribute then the individual effect parameter values will be ignored and all the slides / images will be applied this same effect. If you want to set and use individual slide effect parameter then leave the value of slidesEffect attribute blank.
     
     

  4. textPosition:

     this parameter can be used to place the text either at top, bottom or middle of the slideshow. There is no textPosition attirbute for individual xml node.
     
     

• Individual Slide Node's Parameters / Attributes:

  • duration:

    specify the duration of the image / slide before new image will be loaded and displayed. If you set the value of the slidesDuration then duration will not be used.

  • effect:

    specify the effect which will be applied to the image / slide. If you set the value of the slidesEffect then effect will not be used.

  • image:

    Very straightforward, path of the image.

  • url:

    If you want to associate a link with an image then use the url attribute / parameter. If you don't want to use link with any slide / image then leave the value of url blank.
